, the rain started pouring pretty good here. yeah, but steve's been talking about it all morning. we're not expecting huge rain amounts from this storm but the ground is saturated from the storms and some commuters and residents are not taking any chances. we talked by a lumber company in mill valley. owners and employees putting sandbags there and keeping them there because of the rain. this store was flooded past sunday. storeowners tell us after this incident over this past weekend with the recent storms that they just didn't want to take any chances. >> worried about tomorrow morning? >> hopefully, it will be not that bad. >> reporter: we did drive by the store early this morning and it looks like the sand bags are working right there right now. the rain is continuing to pour down here and hopefully the sand bags will prevent any flooding here. on a side note as we take a look at -- i think the biggest concern is the roadways. tara's been talking about it all morning. there were three accidents on the 80. if you are heading out this morning, take it easy on the roadways and slow

on the south bay, 880 split, you can see traffic looks good in all directions. here is steve. >>> we have low cloud desk, there are other areas brandon and pacifica. man, it is thick here and there are some areas where fog is an issue and it is misty, fog sun, muggy, there is a lot of moisture in the area, we get a north wind that will scour that fog out, it will be an issue especially out in the valley and up above, there is no cloud deck to stop the sunshine. the pattern is changed and we are out of this rain which is a good thing. the hills are definitely saturated, clipping to the north, overall no biggy, everything is east of us and it looks like a cold pattern. the only change would be towards the weekend and the wind will pick up. by sunday into monday, it looks like a dry pattern, pam, dave? >>> all the european markets are up and investors are reacting to the bank of america announcement and interests will move at their current levels. australia hong kong, all of them finished with losses. the weaker yen continues to benefit the exporters there. >>> futures do indicate a lower openin

. another round of rain is moving in. steve said there's already a little bit of rain falling in the north bay. more lane will cover the bay area tonight and tomorrow. it won't be as bad as last weekend's downpours. steve will join us with the full forecast in just a few minutes. and if you take highway 1, you might want to give yourself some extra time today. coming up at 7:30, where the highway is being reduced to one lane and the work that's being done to prepare for another round of rain. we have new video of a fire in petaluma. you can see this home on sadler was completely engulfed in claims. it was reported at about 3:30. sonoma county fire says it was complete lit contained around 5:30. no reports of injuries -- completely contained around 5:30. no reports of injuries. >>> police are looking for the person who caused this cause fire. >>> today, county supervisors will meet about possibly closing four fire stations. the stations scheduled for closure are in walnut creek, clayton, martinez and la fayette. the closure list comes about a month after voters in the contra costa fire dist

is steve. >>> well, at least the rain is done, there is midst and drizzle and that will end and we'll see sunshine : the pattern is finally changing and we had a foot of rain in about a week's time. 50s on the temperatures and they have been coming down just a little bit there and that means slightly cooler patterns. as far as we are concerned, the high pressure is moving way off the gulf of alaska and that will give us a north wind. that will take care of the fog and it is more of a low cloud fog deck. it's not just to the valley but out coast will burn off seen. i think next week is -- burn off sooner. more of a westerly breeze, santa rosa as well. 60s on the temperatures and everybody is in on that temperature trend coast bay and inland. then with your weekend always in view, we get rid of that fog, we might bring cooler temperatures in and it will bring us a lot of sun and no rain there. >>> they are suing a company which makes baby products. they produce the knap nanny and chill infant recliners. they ordered a recall after five babies died after using knap nanny but baby matters ref

, no problems and down in the south bay, 280, again looking good in both directions, here is steve. >>> not much with any rain, although some rain is started up and clouds increase throughout the day and over the entire area and tomorrow morning i think about an inch, north of that you can get one to two inches and one more front then the pattern will change. it looks like we will be going into more of a windy pattern. a little bit of rain, it looks like it is trying to get its act together. there could be some drizzle, whether or not picking that up. near 50s for the temperatures, it was cold no doubt about it but we are back up into that cloud cover and this low has to work its way towards us. our cloud and rain forecast does keep some rain to the north. it really stays north all the way but it likes right to me, even that will be much, much weaker. this is not a whopper of a system. increasing late tonight, mild temperatures due to a southeast wind, not as cold in the morning, 60 to 64 should cover it. morning rain and clears out friday night, morning fog does look like the rain creeps up sun

there is steve ide and mark christianson. >> yes, my name is steve ide and i live in the neighborhood. i'm here to urge the land use and economic committee to say no to this resolution. this probably should never have been built in the first place and needs to be removed. in addition to the fact the property encroaches in the right of way it is stated the property is a single family home, but the owner-building, according to neighbors' complaints, has divided the property into 3 units with 3 families living on the property. the owner has done the same thing with properties in other places in our neighborhood on panama and head street. he owns them as single family homes, as required by code. neighbors have complained about 10 niantic's excessive parking and there is no sidewalk on either side of niantic and residents from ocean view village and daly -- daily have to take bart have only one choice, to walk along the street along niantic. this has been brought to the attention of caltrans and dtp with no resolution. it is not okay for property owners to pay their way out of situations s

steve mathias, we were able to meet with the officer last month and we met with him at the space and we talked about a little bit of our history, what we're about, what we've done, the history of the space and what our plans are for the space. we also discussed in detail much about our security plan because we know that that's very important to the police department as well as ourselves, and a couple of those key concerns that we addressed were the security personnel, we plan to staff one security personnel for every 50 to 75 patrons, we plan to have surveillance cameras at both entrances and exits and the cameras will be wide angled cameras able to not only film what's happening at both entrances and exits but what's happening across the street, and we also plan to have both entrances and exits well lit with security patrolling 100 feet in both directions and of course adopting a solid, good neighbor policy. also, after we submitted our application, we begafn doing our neighborhood outreach, we reached out to some neighborhood groups, we reached out to david volobis from the community
